Doing things a little differently

Eastacre recently engaged the Fraser Gallery in St Andrews to complete the artwork for the stairwells at our development at The Scores.

We placed Six original paintings in the internal hallways as part of our internal fit-out of the communal areas of the Six apartments.

Local artists were used, including Colin Brown.

Colin Brown has an established and ongoing record of research and creative practice. Over the past twenty nine years he has built up a strong international career profile, with regular exhibitions of his paintings throughout the UK, Europe and America.

He has spent periods of time living and painting in Europe – including a four month stay in Florence and four years in Düsseldorf. Brown is now based in Stonehaven on the north-east coast of Scotland, where he has his studio.

His paintings have received a number of awards, most notably a major Artist’s Grant from The Pollock-Krasner Foundation, New York in 1996.

Eastacre have an excellent working relationship with the Fraser Gallery, with many of our clients purchasing additional paintings to give their new homes the finishing touches.

One of Scotland’s oldest privately owned galleries, Fraser Gallery St Andrews celebrated 150 years in business in 2012. Fraser Gallery St Andrews is owned and managed by Roderick and Louise Fraser and first opened its doors in 1862 under the auspices of Roderick’s great grandfather. Originally based in Dundee, the family also ran galleries in Edinburgh and opened Fraser Gallery St Andrews in South Street in March 2007.

The gallery offers a unique, intimate space in the heart of St Andrews showcasing some of the very best of contemporary Scottish artists.

Eastacre were delighted to work with this local business, and provide something different to our new clients at The Scores. Doing things a little differently.
